TORONTO, OCTOBER 29, 2024 – Ruck Lane, a newly formed venture capital group, is proud to announce its official launch and the first members of its Global Advisory Board.
Ruck Lane is led by Chuck Scott, CEO, who was previously CEO of Cushman & Wakefield in Canada, and Latin America.

Ruck Lane has formed an advisory board to provide strategic guidance, industry insights and expert advice supporting the firm’s mission and objectives. The initial members are:
- Anne Morash, former Senior Vice President Multi-Residential for GWL Realty Advisors
- John Forrester, Chair of Real Estate Development, Innovo Group and former CEO and Board Member at Cushman & Wakefield
- Andrew Garrett, former Senior Principal, Real Estate for Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) and current CIO of Spotlight Development
- Paul Finkbeiner, former Executive Vice President and Global Head of Real Estate for Great West Life Co.

The firm currently has active interests in Black Dog Development, focusing on commercial, industrial, and residential developments and entitlements; Penalta, an industry leader in general contracting, design-build, and construction management; and Protego Whole Home Solutions, a high-end residential concierge and property management firm.
Rounding out Ruck Lane’s executive leadership is Mark Barr, the firm’s Chairman. Barr has over 30 years of experience in structured finance and mergers/acquisitions; and Terry Wallace, Partner, the CEO and co-founder of Penalta Group. Wallace has delivered over 10M square feet of construction projects valued at over $1B.
